The Creative Team Deal

Being in a Creative Team (also called CT in digiworld) is fantastic because you get the opportunity to have awesome kits for free, not to mention the prestige that it gives you just by being a member of a team. More so, you get to meet and be “intimate” with your co-CT members as you share ideas and lift up each others’ spirits from time to time. So what does it take to be in a CT?

Actually it depends upon the designer to decide whether you get in the cut or not. It also depends upon your style. As far as I know, you should not apply to any CT just for the sake of snagging free kits; you have to make sure that you will be USING the kits that you download with fair dealing. If you think that the designer’s style isn’t you at all, then go ahead and look for the one that suits you and your style.

Applying for CT membership is, I think, a trial and error thing. I was lucky that I got accepted in my first CT application, and on my second and third too. That’s three lucky strikes in a row! But after that, the rest all turned me down, which is not a bad thing at all because they give discount coupons or freebies for those who have applied. It’s always a win-win thing.

If you’re a beginner, I suggest that you should hone your craft first and participate in forums in various digiscrapping sites to learn a thing or two from the “masters”. You should know how to define your style and be open in trying other colors or kits. By the time you do these, you could very well send your applications away!
