Mesmerized by Twilight

I was never a Twilight fan. Really. Well, not until I have to create a layout for a Twilight themed kit. I felt horrified at first for I didn't know how to give justice to Sara's kit but then I decided to express myself using the kit and here's what I came up with.

However, when the girls were discussing and gushing about Twilight (we were all talking about the book though, I think), I got curious and so I decided to read the book myself. I have to say that I loved it! It's mesmerizing and enchanting to say the least. I am now reading New Moon since the girls said it's a good read too. You might as well check out this Twilight kit by Sara at Scrap That Idea.

It's fun to play with! In fact I am making a hybrid card for my friend who gushes over Edward Cullen. lol

New Releases and a Giveaway!

True to my word, I am back once again to present to you some great new releases from the CTs I'm in. Here they are.... *drumroll* The images are linked so click on them to go directly to the store.

First is this Cherry Mocha kit from Mel Hains of Scrap That Idea. This kit is designed for the pink, orange and brown lovers! This kit consists of 12 papers, 35 elements and a full alpha. This kit is on SALE so grab it now!

If you're in for the Fall Collection, you may like this HUGE collab by the Scrap That Idea designers. It is huge and fab! By buying the whole collection, you save 50% on the individual items. You can see previews of all the parts of the kit separately and they are all available to buy separately if you prefer. And did I say it is huge?

If you're feeling the Halloween as early as now, this fun kit by Sir Scrapalot will satisfy your fancy. This kit is full of doodly fun which is great for all your Halloween layouts!

If you're in the mood for a nostalgia scrappin' you might like this Miss Maisie's Garden by Day's Digi Designs. This fun colorful flower garden kit is inspired by 1930s colors and textures. During the depression a flower garden was a frivolity that only the upper class would have been able to afford. However, even for those precious few lucky ones war times were felt, and reusing and recycling was de rigeur. Thus, Miss Maisie's Garden encompasses the rare beauty of a wartime flower garden along with the down to earth textures and materials of the every day household.

and last but not the least...

Scooty's Designs is In the Spotlight at Digital Scrap Cafe and her entire shop is at 35% OFF!
Also, I am giving away a $5 coupon from Michele Stone Designz. All you have to do is go to her store, choose a product that you'd love to have, and post a comment here so that I could enter your name in the contest. I will be using random.org for the draw and entries will be accepted until October 8. The winner will be announced on October 9. You can also twit about this giveaway for an additional entry.

So good luck to you all!

Things I'm Thankful of..

My countrymen are a only few steps away to start the healing process from their bitter experience with the typhoon Ondoy. Though most of us are scarred by this event, life goes on and what's good with Filipinos is that we still find a hundred and one ways to laugh or smile amidst any tragedy. I would also like to thank those who have helped Willa's family by sharing their thoughts, prayers, and money with them. I've known Willa for almost a decade now and we haven't even met in person but even though the relationship we had was just like that, she's like a family to me. So thank you very much to all my scrappy friends from different stores and forum for everything.

So as I have said, life goes on and I would like to share with all of you this fabulous freebie from Pom, my co site CT from Digital Scrap Cafe. This mosaic strip layer is to die for and we're lucky that she shared this with us! Click on the image to go directly to Pom's blog and get it.

Moving on, I am so bragging this personal blinkie that Nancy, my co-CT from Scrap That Idea, made for me. Here it is.Isn't it lovely? Nancy's making all of us our blinkies for free and she doesn't even know that she's good at it! Also, Nancy's hosting a contest at STI's Blog so go ahead and check on it, you might win a $5 coupon plus a special prize too. So that's all for now, I will be back in a while to announce some new releases from the CTs I'm in. Thank God it's Sunday!
